Wanting to open the first Homeless Rehabilitation Shelter in Indiana. Needing $500,000 to purchase the facility that will house 40-60 Individual or Homeless familes off the street. While they are at IMPACT they will recieve 90-120 days of shelter, along with 3 meals a day. With in the first week at IMPACT, they will go through 5 seminars or training classes. during these training classes they will learn how to dress for success in their new line of work. They will also go through interview process for one of the companies that has agreed to hire these individuals with guaranteed 20-25 hours a week starting out. They will also go through how to have a checking and saving accounts. How to properly balance their checkbooks and budget their finances. Then after the first month they will pay IMPACT $50.00 a week to stay at IMPACT. The reason for this is so they get used to paying for their place of living, because once their 90-120 day stay is up. They transition from IMPACT to their permanant home (house, apartment or half double). IMPACT's projected goal of this ministry is to reduce homelessness of families and individuals by 45-60 percent in our first year in operation.
IMPACT FAMILY HOUSING is just one of the minitries of IMPACT THE CITY church and ministries.
Just within the past two weeks IMPACT THE CITY has gotten 16 homeless individuals a job and a place to stay that is off the street. IMPACT THE CITY does checkin with their employers to make sure they are working their scheduled hours.
IMPACT FAMILY HOUSING along with the other ministries will bring 60 plus jobs to Anderson Indiana.
Another ministry of the church that is beginning this September is IMPACT SPORTS. This great opportunity for kids of ages 4-17 to be able to get these kids involved in sports regardless of family income, so they will get out of gangs, off drugs, and giving them hope in the process. So they are no longer geeting into trouble and our city crime rate reduces significantly by 50-55 percent within the first year.
IMPACT'S LONG TERM GOAL IS TO HAVE A IMPACT FAMILY HOUSING IN EVERY CITY IN INDIANA WITHIN 10-15 YEARS AND THEN THROUGHOUT THE USA
