Honest Pet Products was founded in 2010 by myself, Mary Wolff seeing a need in the pet toy industry for safe and natural dog and cat toys. Having 2 dogs and 3 cats I had experienced many purchases for my pets that were quickly chewed up and /or I worried about the toxic materials that these toys from China may disperse to my pets. Most people don't realize that pet toys have no government agency testing  and /or safety standards that would protect our pets from toxic toys on the market. With that said, the main offering of pet toys today are those made in China using plastics, fabrics and paints that are linked to cancers and other physical ailments. So after researching natural and safe fabrics I came across the wonderful benefits of the hemp plant and the durable fabrics it produces, so  our dog toys are all made using the heaviest weight hemp canvas available to date for durability and safety  and are stuffed with organic wool sourced from California. We started out having all our hemp toys made by adults with developmental disabilities, but the organization through which we contracted the sewing has since done away with their contract sewing division so we are working with a local (Wisconsin) sewing contractor for the sewing portion of our production. All of the 8 different dog toys in 3 sizes and 8 different cat toys are all designs I developed . 
The reason I am looking for funding now is to grow inventory and to fund marketing strategies such as SEO, social media and trade show exhibition in the pet industry. Sales have been steady since 2010 with growth each year without having done any marketing or advertising. By 2018 sales had organically reached $75,000 and then IT happened.....
Unfortunately I sold all the inventory and assets to a man in Colorado October 2018, who agreed to pay me 2 payments of $12,500 starting May 15th of 2019. Instead, from October till May, he sold all the inventory on his website (not the website I have had since inception) and 4 days before his first payment he gave me the company back instead, pocketing nearly $30,000 of retail sales and using up a substantial portion of my raw materials. Leaving me with the difficult decision to close the doors on Honest Pet Products or pick  myself up and start again, I've decided that the products are worthy of another try and with some funding to regrow the inventory , I can then contact the 400 wholesale customers I once had and let them know that we are again selling wholesale and to reach out  to our 600 person mailing list from previous purchases with the good new we are back .  With some marketing dollars for SEO  and social media advertising we should see increases in website sales. By attending the largest pet industry expo for buyers, we can develop a broader base of wholesale accounts. 
Being a person who doesn't stay stagnant, I have many additional products already developed for addition to the line, but need funding for their launch to the marketplace.
