HOMETOWN TIRE AND SERVICE

Tires and automotive repairs and sales. Even in covid the shop sales were 108,000 last year. With all the pricing going up  and the new form that MTO has laid out for shops that even a boot on a ball joint if it has a rip you must replace the full unit even if the ball joint is still good.
Well I don't agree  by saving good boots i cut the customers cost from say $150.00 down to $50.00 we have become so fixed on replacement that not many of the new mechanics know how to repair and  even into tires   most newer tire people can not tell you why the tire broke down .
Now tire pricing has put tires  out of reach for some people until they come to see me reason why is the list price is just that list not the selling price there has been many of my customers  that deal with me now showed me the quotes they had been given.
Yesterday there was a customer who came in for pricing  how it went was like this he didn't even know I was down this side street but as he was getting a coffee he mentioned to his friend that tire prices are to high his friend said did you go over and see Joe at HomeTown Tire and Service his reply was I didn't know there was another shop in town so he found out where I was hiding .
So as we talked i went and looked at his vehicle and found the size was 31X12.50x15 all terrain  once i came back in he told me the pricing he had gotten and they were list pricing at $1685.96 thats 4 tires installed and balanced and valves and to that I said oh no thats not a price it highway robbery .
There are so many brands out there now it can be hard to make one's mind up so thats where questions come in is towing or loading the truck up  or is it just for taking small stuff around and what kind of traction they want and more but after an hour I gave him my pricing  for the same size in a Altenzo tire   and can be used year round which thats what he wanted  the price is $1086.30 and when people buy from HomeTown installing and balancing is never charge because your buying from us .
The other end of HomeTown is the repairs  we repair vehicles ,boats Atv , tractors plus frame repair and don't forget body work also and anything else that comes along  the whole idea of my shop is to have all in one and at pricing that people can afford .
And another part of HomeTown is custom work plus tool and accessories growing up in this business  i started when I was seven years old rolling the tires to the guys mounting them with my Father back when Uniroyal Tire had stores I learned so much from my Father and the last thing he said to me in 2020 before he passed was he was proud of me .
This shop is one that will grow and become a force in the industry  to me 50k may be shy of what I see to where this company can go I am getting new customer almost every day but not growing and getting other just me working the business will stay where it is and thats not fair for all the others who need to save  these days no matter if you make great money or if your on a pension people will get the same from me as anyone else would and my customers become a family in a sense .
When someone can't have there vehicle down for one to two days i stay all night so that they can make it to work the next morning  I work all night to make that happen because without them I'm just a guy with a shop and someone who doesn't care  well if you ask all my customers they will tell you I care and I will do whatever it takes to do the job they need from me .
What is needed for HomeTown to grow better location Bigger shop and staff also some stock because since I opened here July! 2019 it's been me and me alone doing all of this  so if your looking for a someone who still has passion in what he works at and loves to save people money then you found him .
