My business, the Holistic Life Institute, is a CA state BPPE-approved school of massage therapy training and holistic health sciences, which has continuously operated since 1998. We are the only post-secondary school in the Central Valley that provides 1000 hours of career training In holistic modalities. Recently, we partnered with the California Health Collaborative to provide holistic support for smoking cessation for our region. The collaborative will be providing grants to my school to assist in providing payment for this service.
A coalition of schools in southern California has asked me to provide holistic health training to their staff so that we can expand the science of holistic nutrition throughout the state. I personally have developed Nutri-Escience, the Science of Essential Nutrition, over the past thirty years and have been teaching it at my school for almost twenty five years. My book, "FigureShaping, the Completely Natural Weight Loss Protocol, featuring Nutri-Escience, the Science of Essential Nutrition," has been published in 37 languages and has been used as a textbook for my school since it was originally published in 2007.
Although my school has been running consistently and my teachers are very well versed in holding down the fort while I'm away, I would like to ask for this funding to better enable me to spread my training throughout the state of California via these different avenues.
Here is a brief bio of my school and myself
Jan Noble, HHScEd, founded the Holistic Life Institute in 1998, offering CA BPPE-Approved programs in Holistic Health Sciences and Reiki Therapeutic Touch. In 1999, the institute expanded its curriculum to include Certified Massage Therapy. The following year, the programs were further expanded to include advanced training in Eastern Massage modalities and holistic health sciences including nutrition, herbs, aromatherapy, homeopathy, iridology, ayurvedic medicine, needleless acupuncture, etc..
Jan is a Certified Nutri-Escience Practitioner and Holistic Health Science Educator. She trained in Arizona for four years in holistic health before opening her first day spa in Brigantine, NJ. Originally from Oakdale, CA, Jan moved back to her hometown in 1994 and studied science and biology for three years at California State University-Stanislaus before establishing her practice and, eventually, her institute. Prior to her training in Arizona, Jan was the state supervisor for Gloria Marshall Figure Salons for California, supervising weight-loss salons from Stockton to San Diego. In 2007, she published her weight-loss book - "FigureShaping, The Completely Natural Weight-Loss Protocol" and in June, 2010 published her second book "Home with God - The Restoration of Your Spiritual Self."
I would appreciate any suggestions for funding that you may have.
Sincerely,
Jan Noble, Director
