The Story & Team
Founded in February 2026 by Jeff Garff (Partner/Head of Sales) and Liz Dinmore (Partner/General Manager), Hoku Insurance and Hoku HR Services were built after the founders grew their previous Big Island agency to $5M in annual commission revenue. Following the sale of that agency, Jeff and Liz launched Hoku to own and operate a lean, tech-enabled commercial brokerage and integrated HR/payroll platform.
Traction & Trajectory (Month 6)
- P&C Insurance: Over $1.0M in commercial premium written; on track to hit $2.0M+ by year-end 2026.
- HR Platform: Launched with initial employer clients; targeting 300+ enrolled payroll lives by year-end.
