I have patented a life saving device and system for saftely retrieving a drowning or distressed person from the water.

I designed and patented a life saving device. It is a block system that hooks to the cleat on your boat.  It has a winch attached to it, for retrieval of a person or pet from the water.  We have a unique flotation device that is part of our patent.  Our flotation device was constructed with D rings built into it, so that it is adjustable for any size person up to 400 Lbs. Our flotation device has a snap ring that quickly connects to the D ring, so you can snap a person conscious or unconscious, in within seconds ensuring that they stay above water, while the retrieval system pulls them to safety.  We have also made a smaller version for children and pets.  Our system comes with 100 foot of webbed strapping that hooks to the flotation device for throwing out into the water to your distressed individual.  This strapping will then hook to the Cleatmate winch system for quick retrieval of a person, without the strain that is normally exerted to pull someone from the water. Our system can quickly and easily aide a person onto the platform of your boat where medical assistance can be administered.

We are hoping that is device will replace the old white ring that is required by the Coast Guards and the industry to be on every boat that is 39 foot or more.  The old white ring is designed to be held onto, not secured around a water victim.  That ring cannot aide someone that is unconscious as it requires you to hold on to it.   That ring can easily be swept off by a large wave leaving the water victim with no support around them.  That ring cannot fit onto a 400lb person.  Our product was designed to safely and securely quick clip around a person holding them above water, until retrieval can be accomplished.

The market that we are trying to absorb consists of; Any vessel that enters the water, Coast Guard, Marine Water Unit, every first responder vehicle, every fire truck, ambulance, police car and every DNR vehicle.  We also want it in every hotel with a pool, every school with a pool and in every Marina or dock that is near water. We are now targeting the pet supply stores to carry our pet products.  I went to the boat show yesterday and spoke to the Coast Guards as well as the Chicago Police Dept. and they all are convinced that this product would definitely aide and assist in the retrieval of a person or pet overboard. They are very excited and can clearly see how our product could be of assistance in their daily work and success of retrieval

We are currently seeking Coast Guard approval.  If this is granted we believe that this product will be required on every boat in the world, that in the past, was required to carry the old white ring. We also believe that the Cleatmate system will  surpass the success of retrieval for water victims, up and above any product currently on the market.

We have designed accessories to the Cleatmate, that can be used for many things besides the water.  Our hitch that hooks to the back of a truck box, provides a winch system that can help with virtually anything you need to get up in the truck.  The Cleatmate can easily assist you in getting your dingy out of the water, or assist you with loading a deer for all the hunters. Endless possibilities for this great product.

I am now starting to target pet stores with our pet flotation device.
