I am the proud creator/ founder of a state-of-the art 3D/4D/HD Live elective ultrasound studio sweetly named “Hide & Seek Prenatal Peek, LLC”. I began this amazing journey in 2017 when I opened the doors to my ultra comfy studio in the Penn State area of Pennsylvania. Due to wonderful clientele of super excited families, awesome staff, and the opportunity to attain an education that ensures a safe experience, I have been able to to not just survive a competitive industry but have truly thrived and set myself apart from the rest as the ultimate 4D ultrasound experience in our area, and been fortunate to maintain a 5 star rating the entire time my services have been offered. While it is exciting to offer families the opportunity to bond with their sweet bundles of joy on the latest and greatest ultrasound technology, it is the other side of my services that take my services from simply sweet, to life changing. The reason I say life changing is because many of the couples that come to me, walk in the door with the devastation and trauma of losing a child or sometimes experiencing a long fertility struggle. I also happen to have my education in counseling and I use the power of the ultrasound imaging “visual” to help couples with extreme hardship mentally calm. When seeing the babies movements and feeling those movements at the same time, and hearing the heartbeat, etc, it helps not just ease their anxiety, but it helps bring the parents minds, and bodies back together so they do not feel so disconnected. They literally leave like different people. It is wildly satisfying to have a skill that can bring couples closer together, bring a certain level of healing, and help get everyone in a good place as they prepare to welcome their adorable babies into the world. While all this is great, I unfortunately suffered a crippling loss in my own life this past Christmas when our daughter suffered a major cardiac event after having her 4th open heart surgery and passing away in her sleep. This loss has literally brought me to my knees as a mother. The pain cannot be fully appreciated by words alone, and to say I have literally lost a part of my soul is not an exaggeration. During this difficult past year, I also closed a second location to free up money as I have been attempting to divorce my abusive ex husband for years now. Every time I am about to finally pull away for good financially, he maneuvers something that sabotages my freedom from him. When it came down to it, when it was having to choose between our daughter and my second business, easiest decision of my life, I chose my daughter. I did not want her to worry or feel like a burden of any sort in as we now know, turned out to be her final months. However, as I begin to rebuild from the ashes, I realize just how important my studio has been in healing for others, but now myself too. I feel like I could take this business to the next level but need funding. I’ve done all the hard work and taken this business as far as I can with what I have had, but with this funding, I feel like I could regain my footing, and finally leave my ex husband and his abuse behind me for good. Even though I have gone through a lot in the last few years, I never lost hope. Our daughter faced her health crises head on and watching her strength in the face of incredible adversity has taught me to hold on even if only by a thread and never give up. So my hope is to get enough funds to pay off my current business, upgrade my machines and build up my diagnostic ultrasound services. I would like to set into motion a game plan to expand into some more urban markets but understand I could only achieve these goals with someone giving me just one chance that is not sabotaged and set me into the future I feel is authentically positive and will set into motion a million more positives for so many others. It’s simply wonderful what all of you do to invest back into others and their success.
