Current blood systems are hindered by short shelf life, refrigeration requirements, donor compatibility, high logistics costs, and the persistent risk of infectious disease transmission.
Our patent pending Universal Oxygen Carrier (UOC), is a next-generation hemoglobin–carbohydrate–based polymer (HBOC) engineered to replicate and enhance the oxygen delivery function of red blood cells. UOC is:
- Universally compatible with all blood types — eliminating crossmatching
- Pathogen-free — removing the risk of transfusion-transmitted infections
- Room-temperature stable for up to 5 years — vastly improving logistics and emergency readiness with no cold storage needed.

Unlike donated blood, UOC can be stockpiled anywhere, deployed rapidly in disaster zones, and used in both civilian and military medicine.
