Raising $1M for micro-size steam turbine generators especially for geothermal energy

Geothermal energy is the future of clean electricity supply and will last indefinitely. The U.S. has abundant geothermal resources, primarily in the western region of the continental United States.

Steam energy is the most efficient, powerful and easiest way to obtain energy because the volume of water expands 1,600 times when it changes from a liquid state to a gas state through heating or boiling. This has been proven since James Watt invented the steam engine in 1776, which started the Industrial Revolution. Steam turbine generators are very popular, using various fuel sources from coal to nuclear to boil water into high-pressure steam. Traditional steam turbine engines are often very large, difficult to build, and have a thermal efficiency of only about 35%. A steam turbine generator or power plant often requires a large real estate footprint and large cooling tower structures.

We have patented and laboratory-validated turbine engine technologies that produce more than 60% thermal efficiency. Furthermore, we have a patent pending for improved axial flux motor/generator technologies that have 5 times the kilowatt per kilogram (kW/kg) output compared to traditional radial flux motor/generators for steam turbine generators and power plants, especially for geothermal energy. Our micro-size steam turbine engine generators can be expanded to a power plant output level. A 12MW Steam Turbine Engine Generator (STEG) is composed of twelve 1MW-STEGs that fitted into a 40-ft cargo container. Without unpacking, just connect the high-pressure steam input pipe, a standard AC electricity, such as 3-phase 277/480V at 50Hz/60Hz will be generated, along with a residual low-pressure steam output. The residual low-pressure steam that exits the STEG-12MW 40-ft cargo container is “air condensed” back to the liquid state for reuse. There is no water or liquid wasted in this closed cycle and no large water-cooling tower required. This is especially beneficial for geothermal power plants, as the facility can continue expanding while in operation by adding more STEG-Containers.
