Digital Prior Authorization and Personal Medical Records apps.Under pending US Gov't legislation CMS-0057-f, providers and payors will be required to interoperate digitally (eg NO MORE FAX MACHINE) and adjudicate on PA applications within no more than 72 hours. A growing number of states are currently enacting legislation through the passage of bills, which will tighten these controls, lower the number of response hours down to 48 or 24 and enforce these laws in 2025/26 for medicaid/medicare payors comply. HealthGates has built an interoperable (under ML7 - PHIR API standards) a robust ePA called HealthGates Hub, which utilizes FDA packet inserts, plus for example NCCN guidelines (for immunology/oncology) that defines the pathway to providing the right drug/treatment to the right patient, at the right time. This improves likely patient outcomes and experiences, and helps to lower costs to all stakeholders.
Secondly, HealthGates is launching MyMedRecs application, which will essentially democratize personal medical history, records and all individual condition information/data, onto a simple to use platform. In cases of emergency, travel, moving state, etc, carrying ones own medical data, becomes all the more vital, to ensure the appropriate treatments are delivered to the patient/individual. Today, over 200m Americans have access to smart phones, of these 75% are English speaking, 20% are Spanish speaking, with 5% other. We aim to level the playing field to ensure those without means, such as the under-served in our communities, have direct access to their current medical records and are able to maintain these for their personal benefit, versus only the benefit the the provider/health system.
We intend to also launch this app in India at a later stage, where there are 580m people using smartphone apps in the English language. We are seeking growth equity funding.
