Operating in conjunction with regular trash collection schedules, our specialized truck arrives after collection. Using water heated to over 200°F and pressure exceeding 3500 psi, we meticulously clean, sanitize, and disinfect each can inside and out. 

Initially we position the can(s) behind the truck and power wash the outside of the can(s) and the inside of the lid(s) with a pressure washing wand. We then secure the can(s) in the dual hydraulic cart lifter, lifting them over the multi nozzle rotating cleaning heads, using the same high temperature, high-pressure water to clean the inside of the can(s). 

This thorough process eliminates issues associated with pests like cockroaches, flies, rats, and other health concerns linked to unclean trash cans. Once cleaned, we promptly return the cleaned, sanitized, disinfected and deodorized can(s) near their garage, away from the street. This service is particularly advantageous for Homeowner Association (HOA) residents who are required to store their cans out of sight, usually in their garage. 

We ensure a self-sufficient operation by bringing our own water and recycling the contaminated wastewater. The used water which is collected in the hopper is transferred to a wastewater holding tank then undergoes a 17-stage filtration process, this brings the contaminated water down to 5 microns and is reused. Eventually, the used water is dissipated as steam during the can cleaning process. 

With 18 months of operational experience, Happy Cans of Volusia County proudly pioneered the first fully automated eco-friendly service of its kind in Volusia County. Despite initial challenges, we have diligently advertised to raise awareness of our unique offering. Our goal is to serve a larger portion of the community, especially HOAs, where adopting our service could significantly benefit residents.
