Guitar Kickstand is an innovative veteran-owned and family-operated company based in Katy, Texas, founded by U.S. Army engineer Raymond Ivy. The company has developed a first-of-its-kind attachable Guitar Kickstand designed to transform how musicians store, transport, and perform with their instruments.   The company’s business model focuses on scalable product innovation, intellectual property development, and expanding into global music accessory markets through strategic partnerships, licensing opportunities, and future product line expansion.

The Guitar Kickstand is a compact, lightweight, and durable support system that attaches directly to most wood string instruments. Measuring only 6x2x2 inches when stored, the device features retractable “A-frame” legs that extend to 18 inches, securely supporting the instrument while remaining attached during performances, rehearsals, travel, and storage. Unlike traditional guitar stands that are bulky, separate, and inconvenient, the Guitar Kickstand offers musicians an integrated, portable, and performance-ready solution that enhances convenience, mobility, and instrument protection.

This innovation addresses a longstanding gap within the musical accessories industry by introducing a product category that currently has little to no direct market competition. The product’s portability, sleek design, and practical functionality create broad appeal among beginner musicians, professional performers, touring artists, educators, music retailers, and performance venues.

Founder and CEO Raymond Ivy brings more than 20 years of experience in engineering, fabrication, design, and project management through his service as a U.S. Army engineer. His leadership, technical expertise, and disciplined approach to innovation have been instrumental in developing a product that combines practical engineering with musician-centered functionality. Supported by his family’s creative vision and operational support, the company is built on principles of integrity, craftsmanship, durability, and innovation.

As a veteran-owned and minority-owned business, the company also aligns with investment initiatives focused on innovation, entrepreneurship, supplier diversity, and American-designed manufacturing. Founder Raymond Ivy leads daily operations, supported by his family who contribute to product design, branding, and marketing. As a U.S. Army engineer, Raymond brings leadership, discipline, and problem-solving skills honed over 20 years of service. The company plans to expand to 15 employees within three years, including management roles in Operations, Finance, and Customer Service.
