My name is Katrina Blackman I am a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Texas and eligible to practice anywhere in the U.S. I have been in healthcare for 14 years with experience as a Hospital Floor Nurse at Brooke Army Medical Center; Ft. Sam, working Step Down ICU and Trauma Med Surgery, Home Healthcare, Rehabilitation Centers, Skilled Nursing, Wound Care Nurse, and Clinical Nurse. My calling has always been to care for others. The reason I became a nurse is to help improve the quality of life of those around me. I believe people deserve quality care, something that is hard to find in today’s world. Being a nurse means having compassion, empathy and building trust. Those are the things I endeavor to bring to all my residents.
GRAMS Residential Senior Care is a Living Space for ages 60 and older who require day to day nursing assistance. Our goal at GRAMS is to provide a safe living space for seniors and for those seniors who need a place to get additional medical assistance but do not quality or desire to be in a commercial facility. Also, for those who do not have insurance and need a permanent or temporary place to stay due to a medical injury and still need post-op care. We also provide 24/7 Respite care for those caregivers who need a well-deserved break.
Our vision is to see that all residents get their needs met on a day-to-day basis. We are here to help give our residents the same experience they would get at home plus whatever medical or rehabilitation that is needed. Just because they are not at home doesn’t mean we cannot make their new place feel like home. We strive for excellence and quality in all that we do for our residents
