Hello Everyone,

I own a pregnancy and postpartum agency. I want to expand what we currently do in private homes with 1-1 care and support into a pregnancy and postpartum wellness center.

I have been in the private childcare industry for over 30 years and started to hone in on the first 3-6 months postpartum about ten years ago. I'm a master Newborn Care Specialist and a Newborn Sleep Specialist. I am highly intuitive, know what babies need, and can "communicate" with them in various ways. When we can cover all the deeper needs and understandings of newborns and the family at large, we support our future in much bigger ways than just offering the basic needs for survival. When we do that, we fully support these babes and families with a solid foundation from day one. This covers their physical and emotional needs, to name a few of the ways we can change society for years to come. Yes, changes in family and society start at the newborn stage.  Over the years, I have seen how much America lacks in supporting growing families and the vast need for alternative holistic support and community for these families.

Both men and women need support in different ways, but they need support nonetheless.

What I have learned is the medical field is fantastic for medical situations. Still, they lack education and knowledge in the areas not deemed medical but functional, emotional, and physical for both the birthing parent, the non-birthing parent, and the newborn. On top of that, the medical industry can’t offer community support in breastfeeding, parent and me classes, pregnancy expectations, car seat education,  respectful parenting lectures, best and safest products, healthy foods for preconception, pregnancy, and postpartum healing, Postpartum Mood Disorders symptoms, Pelvic Floor education, pre & post natural exercises, yoga, and just regular community gatherings for new parents to meet others going through the same and much more.  This is where my vision and expertise come in. When we can put everything under one roof, we have a better chance of families getting the multiple services they need to support themselves through this challenge and journey.

I want to establish a brick-and-mortar wellness center of around 5,000-10,000 sqft.

This building will include but not be limited to the following:
Multiple rooms for private 1-1 sessions
Bodyworkers room
Large open space for large gatherings, educational lectures, and group classes that can hold up to 100 people
Small, intimate areas for casual conversations
Small Cafeteria with foods and drinks supportive of conception, pregnancy, and postpartum health and healing
An area for retail for high-quality items  such as blankets, books, swaddles, bouncers, car seats, strollers, toys etc
An area for Herbal apothecary that is in alignment with conception-postpartum that aids in supporting the pregnant and postpartum journey
Spa treatment room for
A play area for children who will be cared for while families are in a session.

I'm looking to hire and bring on but not be limited to the following:
Mental Health Practitioners who specialize in Maternal Health
Lactation Specialist
OTs/PTs who specialize in newborns through 5yrs old
Massage Therapists who specialize in pre/postnatal practices
Yoga Instructors who specialize in pre/postnatal practices as well as for infants and children
Pregnancy and Postpartum Nutritionist-They are different than the regular nutritionist/dietitians
Parenting educators
CPR Instructors
Birth Doulas
Herbalist
Chiropractors who are trained in the Webster Philosophy/Technique and pediatrics..
Osteopathic Doctors who can see and treat patients

I’m looking to raise capital to bridge the gap between the books and Docs and support families where they are from pre-conception through the first 3-4 years postpartum.
I'm also open to franchising this concept.

I look forward to speaking with all who are interested in learning more.

Well Wishes,
Erin
