The #1 issue for any labor based business to grow is balancing the cost of employee accountability against the expectations of labor. I have faced this daily as a warehouse business owner since 2013. Employees want more money, more benefits. I want a decrease in mistakes, an increase in employee engagement, buy-in and quantifiable results. I’ve tried so many incentive programs that failed. I constantly have the “ I need another dollar an hour” conversations with them, many times a year. Meanwhile, costly mistakes continue. Growth stymies.
From this hamster wheel, an app design has been born. The app creatively solves this brick wall, head-butting problem for not only a warehouse labor business, but also for any labor service business. This app minimizes costly mistakes and grows a business to its full potential by creating a bonus/benefit platform and accountability program that is customized by the business, and self driven by employees.
The owner sets the accountability standards based on their business model and the bonus/benefit bucket they want to incentivize their employees. It feeds into the app. The employee has a daily, realtime interface of their performance every minute of every day and understands what it is going to take to get to that next level. They are in control of what it takes to maximize their earning potential without the haggling. The owner is free of dealing with the entitled employees, the non-performers and rewards the true stars, the go-getters. It weeds out under performing labor. It decreases mistakes.
Additional benefits include a competitive leaderboard, and mentoring opportunities where top performers can watch and help underachievers to grow and thrive. The app comes with a self-reporting kudos area for added point/bonus consideration, interface messaging between labor and managers, dazzle to keep the employee engaged and culture building, and camaraderie building through goal setting challenges and personal development opportunities.

It keeps accountability truly at the employee level for achieving his/her goals, based on the company’s reward system. The money a company saves in error costs/losses, as well as the time saved attempting to motivate and indulge the labor force, provides a critical bridge for the company to grow, and the business owner to focus on strategic growth.
As for the project stage of development presently, the full initial design and card deck has been completed using my own money and time with an app development team, investing $30k into the project ideation and design. The development team has provided the budget needed to get this app through development and into beta testing and polish/release.
The app is a start-up and the funding will provide full development through the beta testing phase, ready for initial release mid-2023. A marketing, sales and service model is in the beginning stages of strategy assessment and creation.

I am a creative with the inherent capability to think and strategize as a critical problem solver.
