My name is Bryan Dearnley,  proud owner of Freedom Fitness Training. Freedom Fitness Training (FFT) is a training, education and consulting company that will revolutionize the way fitness is brought to the consumer. In addition to providing quality mobile fitness training to the general public, FFT offers educational services such as seminars and demonstrations. FFT also offers consulting services to current/aspiring trainers and gym industry leaders. I can provide more info about those services upon request. I am here to talk about the bread and butter of FFT, mobile fitness training.

My mission
My mission is to make professional help more affordable and convenient to the general public so people can get the help they need in a manner that works around them. With over 60% of Americans overweight or obese, fitness and nutrition professionals must become a necessity and no longer a luxury. Having worked as a trainer and fitness manager all over the country for many years, i have seen far too many negative client experiences  and for that reason alone i can no longer be a part of big box commercial gym setting. This is why i founded FFT.  FFT is different in many ways. I bring fitness to your home, office or park. In 2020 gyms are looked at as hazardous and people want their fitness delivered just like an amazon package. Consumers are looking for something new after most likely having a negative experience at a big gym. ( If only those home workout videos actually worked!) In addition to top notch mobile training,  all clients will work with a registered dietitian.  An RD is crucial for results and immediately adds extra value to the program. Home gym equipment is not mandatory as i provide all the necessary tools. Clients need to one day not need us and continue this new path on their own. I teach my clients to be independent from gyms and to have everything they need in their home with minimum/inexpensive equipment. Education is THE most important part of the journey. My program should be like college. Pay me once and do it right. Retain what you learn and continue on your own forever. This will be achieved from an online curriculum and testing platform. Clients will literally be quizzed on fitness and nutrition to become an expert themselves so they no longer need professional guidance. After all, no one wants to pay or be in school forever. Learning to manage your fitness, health and nutrition should be no different. The key to  success is professional training multiple times a week, professional nutrition counseling, educational "graduation" requirements,  and post-program supportive resources that will all result in a long term, permanent change.  The problem with all this? Great programs cost money and most people who truly need the help cannot afford it.

What i need you for
I am trying to do something that has never been done before in the fitness industry. I want to take a top notch program that would normally be reserved for the financial elite and make it accessible to the masses. How can this be done? With "student loans". If you can sell PT, it is no problem to get a client to sign up for a 12 month program. The problem is that most people cannot afford to spend more than $300-$400 month on their fitness and end up training for 30 min 1-2 times a week at a commercial gym. Professional nutrition services aren't included and education is never the priority in those programs. The Trainers are usually crap, working for $16/hr with minimal experience or education. For those reasons most clients fail since they're paying for a quick workout and not the well rounded approach i strive to provide.  What people need is 2-3X week with an expert trainer in their preferred setting, professional nutrition counseling, education/knowledge retention, and enough time to see the process through (12 months). When done right, a program like this would be $9600-$12,000 over the course of 12 months. At a big box gym where 12 months of payments is the maximum allowed, clients would laugh at a $800-$1000 monthly payment, no matter the value. This is where you come in. I need a dedicated financier that will fund the clients program in exchange for legally contracted terms/ interest rate. Terms and rates could be set on an individualized basis depending on credit/income of the client or any specific conditions the financier may have.

How it could work

For example: 12 months of training sessions at $60/session 3x week (144 sessions)  = $8640 (Educational curriculum included)
Initial nutrition consultation ($150) and 12 monthly sessions  with Registered Dietitian ($50per) =$750

                                Total program cost: $9,390
Standard gym 12 month financing = $782.50 monthly (unrealistic for the people who need it most)

36 month financing with 10% interest (just an example) = $303 monthly ( more than realistic for a committed client )  Interest earned for financier after 36 months = $1,518

Here is the best part, you do not need to finance the total program cost upfront. You would be investing monthly via direct payments to me while receiving payments from the client monthly to help offset the investment. As sessions are completed you would be paying me and the RD our session rates monthly. Starting month 1 you would also receive a payment from the customer at the financed  monthly amount.  For example, 12 PT sessions a month at $60/per, initial nutrition consultation and 1 RD session at $50/per = $782.50 monthly.  You would pay us the $782.50 directly and then collect the financed amount from the client which would be $303/month in the provided example. After the 12 months or completion of all sessions, you would obviously stop paying us but continue to collect monthly payments from the client until their term is complete. As demonstrated in the above example, you would net $1,518 in interest over the 36 months at 10%. This could easily be done at 15%, 10% is just an example.  This is the only way to give a client everything they need at a monthly cost they can afford. The responsibility is mine to execute on my promise but the beauty is that everything will be under a legal contract just like a car loan. student loan or personal loan. If the client cancels or defaults on payments then they would be sent to collections or penalized by further legal action at the discretion of you and I. The whole point of my vision is to avoid all of these negative experiences that are far too common at public gyms, but we can only control what we can control. At the end of the day, this is a business and we need to be protected and paid.  Again, clients would have their credit and income to debt ratio considered just like any other loan and you would be the one making the approval decision on a case by case basis.  I am doing everything i can to minimize your risk but i am also open to suggestions.  Clients participating in my program would obviously be highly motivated to commit to 3 years of payments. That commitment with my execution minimizes your risk substantially.

Profits/opportunity to grow

"Student loans" will revolutionize the industry and turn a luxury into a necessity that anyone can access. This business can easily be scaled and the opportunity is endless.  I can realistically handle 36 sessions a week which means an average of 12 clients a year. That gives you the opportunity to finance  $112,680 (12 clients @ $9390 a package) a year with a net return of $18,216 ($1,518 interest per package X 12 clients year). Want more? I'll hire trainers, develop them using my proven system and put them in a van.  I can move into a Sales focused position, get all the sales for the business and assign the clients trainers so i can keep on selling and growing. Once the concept is proven, a "Fitness Financing" company could be formed that offers the same financing services to contracted PT clients at big box gyms. Giving you the opportunity to finance thousands of people and reap the interest returns.  This is big thinking but why not put it on the table?

Conclusion

I hope you can see how my vision is truly different than anything else out there. It is based on the foundation of helping others and this can truly revolutionize the way professional help is brought to the average american who isn't making 6 figures.  This also provides a fitness professional with a steady, fair, reliable source of income. This is not common in the industry and could also revolutionize the way trainers work in the field. Great trainers get paid what they are worth, clients get the help they need, you make a great return. All of this with the option to scale. Whats not to like? Lets make fitness financing a reality and flip this industry upside down. Lets give Americans a fighting chance of becoming healthier, fitter, and educated about their health and wellness.  I appreciate your consideration and look forward to any questions!
