Francis Therapeutic Farm

I am starting a business to provide therapeutic services to specifically children in need. The children that I will be targeting are children/youth recovering from trauma, loss, in foster care or are special needs and could benefit from equine therapy. I was a foster parent for many years with my now deceased husband. I am going to be utilizing the skills that I learned while being a foster parents to be able to continue helping children and families in crisis through Animal-Assisted Therapy and Farm-Based Therapy. 
There will be options to choose from something a basic sounding as spending time with the animals, doing crafts around the animals then also full blown Equine Therapy services. I am also looking in to how I can somehow partner with CPS in an effort to be more available to children from really hard places. I truly know from first hand experience how needed these services are and how healing it can be for children.
