The Business
The Foundoo platform is a social media structured marketplace where you can teach and learn virtually anything through live classes and courses. Sign up for free as a student, teacher, or both. As a teacher, you have the ability to create classes and courses the way you want, and actively seek out student requests to fill. As a student, find the teacher that best fits your learning needs by browsing classes and courses and reviewing teacher ratings and portfolios. Message each other, build connections off of shared interests, and achieve successful learning and teaching experiences. The live engagement, questions, feedback, unique insights, and new approaches that come with live interaction, complete the learning and teaching experience.
Progress & Proof
We have introduced an MVP to the market with a beginning set of users experiencing the platform. Initial classes have been held and feedback collected on user experience. We have established our social media presence and a growing email list. Our market interest survey was recently completed, including over 500 in-depth interviews with students and teachers. We are growing our teacher core across a broad range of categories. Foundoo is awaiting trademark registration.
The Future
We see Foundoo as the one-stop-shop for online learning and teaching. Given that learning and teaching style and mode preferences vary among individuals, we plan to slowly implement styles and modes that accommodate those individuals' learning and teaching needs. In structuring the platform to allow various learning and teaching styles and modes, the social media structure serves as the world in which one can find someone or something to help them achieve their learning and teaching goals.
The Team
Trey Bader and Brendan McCloskey started foundoo in July of 2020. “foundoo started with a conversation. We were consumed by the idea of creating a platform where people could share their passions and skills with others. This compelled us to transform a simple conversation into reality. And that’s what foundoo really is; conversations between people that lead to successful experiences. Our mission is to give everyone the opportunity to learn new things and share their knowledge with others.”
