In short here is what the story Jesus of Nebraska is about.
Imagine Christ showing up today and not 2,000 years ago. Imagine everything that he went through. From birth to his resurrection.
Would the people react the same? Would Christianity even exist?
The Book Overview says it perfectly.

Imagine the Gospels brought to life in Middle America in recent times, with characters, language, and situations as colorful as your neighbors. Jesus of Nebraska is a novel that combines elements of "A Prairie Home Companion", TV crime drama, New Thought Philosophy, the New Testament, and a healthy dose of family and friendship. In a story that takes you from a rustic village to Manhattan, from corrupt politicians to evangelical bikers, from tears to laughter, from disgust to sympathy, there is the underlying, reassuring message that higher love is the breath of life.

I recommend Jesus of Nebraska to all who have given up on traditional religion but have retained the wonderful teachings and example of Jesus. In this respect reading the novel was truly a healing experience in which I was able to fully appreciate Jesus' teachings without the usual struggle with religious ideology. Creativity abounds as the story weaves in many New Testament details of the life of Jesus. I was constantly smiling and giggling at the way the author worked in all 12 disciples, Mary Magdalene, Martha, and others. The 3 temptations of Jesus were genius. The ending will surprise and delight you!

This book is absolutely wonderful! The story is familiar with Christians, but there are elements of Native American, Jewish & Muslim faiths interspersed throughout. A must-read for everyone, regardless of their faith. I especially loved the story of Jesus' birth in the sleeper cab of a semi-truck during a blizzard. And the messages during his ministry as a motivational speaker. The real-life language that people used throughout really helps drive the story into my mind. Unforgettable.
As a whole, this book makes Jesus believable & personal. It changed my outlook on life for the better!

I cannot thank you enough for sharing your vision and creativity with all of us. I truly enjoyed the book and it was nice to remember my good friend's true character and what his message was all about. I'm passing on your book to a friend that she may know him too.
Much love and gratitude, This is a completely different look at the Life of Jesus Christ and what he would go through in current times.

Investors who contribute to the $25,000 Pitch Deck investment will receive Executive Producer credits on the film. The investor will be repaid with interest when we receive our production financing. Our ultimate goal is to raise around $7 million for the film's production, and a visually compelling pitch deck is crucial to our success. Hodgson has an unexpected break in his schedule, and he and his team can create this Pitch Deck over the next three weeks so that our Pitch team can begin courting investors for the film by mid-April. I look forward to speaking with you about this exciting opportunity. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or need any additional info.
