We are the inventors and the full patent holders of the Large Vehicle Signaling System (LVSS) which is one square foot LED taillights mounted high on the upper right- and left-hand corners of the tractor trailers for high visibility. The LVSS are hard wired into the existing taillights cables. We all know that trailer taillights are critical for safety, letting other drivers know where the trailer is and what their intentions are. Our product prohibits mounting any lights above 80” from the ground which is subject to the terms if our patent. Did you know that the trucking industry is estimated to become the fifth largest cause of deaths in the United States by 2030? Our goal is to decrease the amount of accidents, decrease loss/damage of freight, decrease insurance cost, and increase visibility to help save lives.
Estimates of 15.5 million trucks operates in the U.S. and of this figure 2 million are tractors trailers. Also, there are approximately 18 million shipping containers globally. Our goal is to first start with the LVSS taillights on tractor trailers then move onto other 18-wheeler trucks such as tanker trailers, flat bed trailers etc. and lastly our goal is to have these on all shipping containers around the world. Currently we do have a working protype that my husband put together which you will see in the video attached below and it costs us about $200.00 to make a set.
