A person-to-person booking app to make organizing recreation and home school activities very easy, especially for busy parents.
Feelike is in the 3rd test of its design phase, refined and ready-to-build. You can test the prototype, and contribute feedback through the questionnaire at
FEELIKE.CO
Why build this, and why would people change to use it? Another app aimed at reducing other apps? Initially, I, the founder, needed this app. I needed it yesterday at my son's soccer team picnic to add names and contacts of parents for playdates. I needed it this past week on a trip. I need it now to organize a violin practice group for my daughter. I need it to help get my multifamily group organized for a camping trip in a month because I have so many texts, email strings, and scheduling conflicts.
I get overwhelmed and frustrated in the rabbit hole of trying to find groups and online. I just want to do my thing, with people. I want an app to help me schedule just like Calendly, which helps me book meetings with other business professionals.
Feelike is minimal. Feelike reduces stress. Feelike makes planning simple.
I am doing this to help busy people with uneven and unpredictable schedules and organizations, homeschoolers, private guides, rec centers, non-profits, busy parents. and busy singles.
Marketing Model
The first build will take 2 months. It will take another month to launch on the app store. During that time, marketing will begin in anticipation of the launch. personal contact with a large network of special interest clubs, rec centers, organizations, and individuals will be ready for the market for product launch. After launch, the app will ask users to invite other users and spread organically, perpetuating utility.
Revenue Model
Revenue models will be tested and possibly changed. Initially, the app will be free to use. Ad-supported revenue will come from only the most general user information the user grants, like ads for soccer equipment or soccer clubs to soccer players. Feelike will not be invasive and promises to develop a reputation for diligence in security and transparency. Later Feelike may charge a monthly fee to groups and creative business people who are able to develop revenue from managing groups. For instance, a local recreation center can use the service to advertise schedules or individuals can curate groups for paid experiences or classes.
The Founder
I am a second-time founder, hold an MBA, and have been in other startups, learning hard lessons and valuable insights. My success that most benefits Feelike is my first startup organization, The Climb. I founded a nonprofit rural bus service in Boulder Colorado. I focused on what people did, which would seamlessly replace vehicles and trips, demonstrating value to the public transportation department. Social impact has always been at my core. I passionately believe this app will help social well-being by reducing the friction of organizing and by facilitating more group activities.
