Ephesians Enterprise LLC is a women-owned and minority-owned business based in Decatur, Illinois, with a mission to create accessible economic opportunities for local entrepreneurs and small business owners. The business is led by Crystal L. Hugger and is structured as a Limited Liability Company.

The current initiative, titled Ephesians Enterprise Vendor Marketplace & Community Event Space Development, seeks to acquire and renovate a commercial property in Decatur. The purpose of this project is to establish a multi-vendor marketplace combined with a flexible community event space. This facility will serve as a central hub for small businesses, providing affordable retail and food vendor space while also hosting events that bring the community together.

Decatur, Illinois faces ongoing challenges related to small business accessibility and underutilized commercial properties. Many local entrepreneurs lack access to affordable retail space, limiting their ability to grow and sustain their businesses.

Ephesians Enterprise addresses this need by creating a shared vendor marketplace that reduces barriers to entry for small business owners. This project will revitalize a commercial property while providing economic opportunities for multiple vendors within a single location.

The proposed space will accommodate a variety of vendors, including retail businesses offering clothing, beauty products, and handmade goods, as well as licensed food vendors operating in compliance with local regulations. In addition to vendor space, the facility will host community events and pop-up markets, creating ongoing engagement and consistent foot traffic. The goal is to support approximately 15 to 30 vendors at any given time, offering flexible and affordable booth rental options.

The economic impact of this project is expected to be significant. By supporting between 15 and 30 small businesses, the marketplace will create new income opportunities for local entrepreneurs while increasing overall commerce and foot traffic in the area. It will also contribute to the revitalization of a commercial property and provide meaningful support to women-owned and minority-owned businesses. This project multiplies economic impact by supporting multiple businesses within one facility, rather than a single business operation.

In terms of employment, the business is expected to create between two and five direct jobs related to operations and management. Additionally, it will indirectly support 15 to 30 vendors, each contributing to the local economy through their own business activities.

The projected timeline for the project is approximately six months from funding approval to grand opening. This includes one to three months for funding approval, one to two months for property acquisition, another one to two months for renovations, and one month for vendor onboarding.

Ephesians Enterprise will sustain its operations through revenue generated from vendor booth rentals, event hosting fees, and partnerships with local organizations. The business is well-positioned to move forward, with its LLC registration complete, a clearly defined funding request and budget, and a structured business model. Most importantly, the project addresses a clear and documented need within the Decatur community.

Ephesians Enterprise is committed to creating a space that not only supports business growth but also strengthens the local economy and fosters community connection.
