We offer Mental Health Wrap around services for those that cannot afford the services in the Greater Houston Area. Our Gala is to bring awareness and honor those making a difference in the Mental Health arena.
Dr. Janice Leonard started working in the mental health field over 30 years ago and has impacted the community ever since. When she began her community outreach called Culture Awareness, an intervention program for gang members, she knew that single parents and grandparents were raising many children in the area due to their parents being incarcerated or suffering from mental ill health issues. Therefore most of the children had not been diagnosed. For mental illness or anger management, these children are angry because their mother or father wasn’t there, mad because they felt forgotten, and resorted to gangs as a way of (family). Dr. Leonard also noticed that adding to this problem was the fact that a large percentage of these children suffered from other untreated disorders such as ADHD, ODD, Bipolar disorder, and more which meant they were performing poorly in school. As the need increased, so did the services of the then-called Culture Awareness, which later became CIA Life Management for a short period and is now called Life Management Centers of Texas. We’ve expanded from just serving the Houston community services to helping San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, Mississippi, and Colorado and currently preparing to expand our services to The Virgin Islands. Life Management came from a dire need in the community and has been equipped over the years to meet those needs and does not turn anyone away regardless of their ability to pay. We offer in-person, face-to-face home visits and Telehealth visits in the comfort of the client’s home. We offer complete Mental Health Wraparound Services. (Newspaper articles attached):

In the aftermath of the tragic, senseless, and ultimately avoidable massacre that took place in Uvalde, TX, on May 24, 2022, we have further dedicated ourselves to providing ongoing guidance and education to our local communities and leaders regarding the importance of common-sense gun laws, adequate mental health care for all, and understanding warning signs and at-risk behaviors in youth. Post-pandemic suicide rates have increased, and anxiety is at an all-time high. We are seeking Sponsors and Donors for our 2023 Gala Emerald and Onyx on October 14, 2023, to recognize and honor those in the community and their contributions to the Mental health community. We want to thank you in advance for your consideration and donation.
