Elevation Sled Dogs has just acquired Yukon Wide Adventures in order to multiply footprint in the Yukon Tourism Industry. ESD and YW are primed to dominate the Outdoor Adventure market in the Yukon!  The New company will be Yukon Wide Wilderness Adventures!  A year round adventure company that will be able to deliver awesome Yukon experiences ranging from Dog Sledding (short to Expeditions), Northern Lights Viewing,  Canoe trips (rentals and guided - half day to expedition), Hiking Tours,  Guided local tours, and many more exciting packages for our visitors.
Elevation Sled Dogs was founded by Aaron Peck, Aaron is 10x Iditarod competitor (1000 miles across Alaska), Aaron has place in top 10 in 2022.  Aaron is considered one of Canada's most accomplished dog Mushers.  Aaron has been running sled dogs for over 30 years.  In 2007 Aaron started running dog dog sled tours in Lake Louise in partnership with Kingmik Dog Sled Tours.  This began Aaron's journey into the world of tourism.
Yukon Wide Adventures has operated in the Yukon for over 20 years and was founded by Thomas Dejager, Thomas is a renowned canoe and kayak racer and has won the Yukon River Quest 2x (1000 miles) , Yukon Wide has delivered exceptional guided canoe trips in different rivers all over the Yukon.  Yukon Wide also offers guided hiking trips in places like the Chilkoot Pass.  Yukon has an entire fleet of canoes and kayaks and all the camping supplies to outfit guests for their Yukon Adventures.
The team of people moving forward with the newly established Yukon Wide Wilderness Adventures, is Aaron and his wife Eva , their managing partner Mayla Hill and a select crew of guides who can see the potential in this new venture.
Aaron, Eva and Mayla launched Elevation Sled Dogs in the Yukon by renting a property to operate out of, in the first year they delivered tours to 1200 people, This was an exceptional result for year one, this can be accredited to building good relationships and by going the extra mile to attract Yukon visitors to Elevation.
After such a successful year one in the Yukon, two problems could be identified.
1. How to create year round revenue in the tourism industry by doing something that can parallel Elevation Sled Dogs.  This led to the acquisition of Yukon Wide.  problem solved.
2. To acquire a property that will provide the company with security and stability.  Elevation currently rents their location, there are many issues with this particular location that need to be addressed.  To operate high caliber dog sledding adventures in the Yukon, a property needs to provide access to good trails, have good snow, and not be too far from the hub of Whitehorse (the fastest growing Canadian city) .  This pitch is aimed at solving this problem.  Elevation Sled Dogs and now sister company Yukon Wide Adventures is in need of a solid home base of operations
The Yukon and particular the Whitehorse area face huge challenges when it comes to land availability, real-estate in the region has been going up in value dramatically when compared to other regions of Canada.  This is a whole conversation that can be discussed.
We look forward to conversations about the working together to build something truly special in Canada's last frontier.
