Enhanced Geothermal Reservoir Recovery System (EGRRS)

 

E2E Energy Solutions is a renewable energy company based out of Calgary Alberta, Canada, that has developed 2 new Geothermal technologies for upgrading subterranean formations to allow for economic geothermal power generation in regions previously not suitable for geothermal development. E2E Energy Solutions is focused on making deep geothermal power generation a globally viable solution for renewable power generation.  E2E has filed 4 patent applications and two PTC applications on both of its geothermal processes and is currently in negotiations on three sites for its field pilot with potential industry and government partners.

From a global perspective, geothermal energy is increasingly being used as an affordable and sustainable alternative to fossil fuels and is one of the few renewable energy sources that can commercially generate baseload power with little to no GHG emissions emitted into the atmosphere.

Despite an abundance of potential geothermal resources in Canada there are currently no geothermal plants operating.

E2E is currently developing two geothermal technologies, Enhanced Geothermal Reservoir Recovery System (EGRRS) and Infinite Energy (IE).  

E2E’s key objective is to design and develop geothermal heat and power generation solutions for a sustainable net zero carbon future.  We believe both EGRRS and IE efficiently extract and deliver sustainable subterranean energy to the surface.

Currently the company is focused on demonstrating E2E’s deep subterranean enhancement technologies: EGRRS and IE.  E2E aspires to commercially engineer and implement its commercial geothermal heat and power solutions through exclusive licensing/royalty arrangement with strategic global industry partners.

EGRRS’ technology advantages are: 

  •      Repurpose existing producing and non-producing oil and gas assets
  •      Develop suitable geothermal aquifers wherever a thermal gradient is over 30 °C/km;
  •      Combine conventional geothermal and enhanced geothermal processes;
  •      Make unprofitable conventional geothermal reservoirs, profitable.

IE’s technology advantages are:

  •      Can be implemented everywhere geothermal conditions are over 30 °C/km;
  •      Does not require an aquifer reservoir.
  •      Has zero gas emission because it is a closed system.
  •      Low to zero parasitic load (thermosiphon effect);
  •      Provides wastewater treatment.
  •      Provides desalination.

Both technologies will:

  •      Produce a significant and sustainable baseload energy. 

In a world that has an unquenchable demand for an energy source that is reliable and sustainable but also have a low carbon footprint, we believe that E2E technologies will play a significant role in reaching our energy demands but do so with a greatly reduced carbon footprint.

E2E’s technology will be cost-competitive with coal, natural gas, wind, and solar but with a lower carbon footprint. We believe that E2E can play a significant role in helping not just Canada but countries all over the world to reach their challenging energy demands, with economics that make sense.
