Distinctly Diverse

I am a hair care product formulator and brand developer. My past company that I spent many years building was stolen from me by my CFO who mishandled our companies funds. The name of the company was Jane Carter Solution. I spent many years as a stylist and salon owner and as a result of many products that we used in the salon that contained ingredients that were potentially harmful. I went and studied formulation chemistry and created products with clean ingredients that we started using in our salon. We introduced the line to professional salon distributors to sell to other salons and sold to retailers such as Whole Foods and The Vitamin Shoppe.  We went on to sell into larger retailers, such as Target, Walgreens and several others. Currently there is an opportunity to address the unaddressed needs of the coily hair consumer that is suffering from hair loss and scalp damage, as a result of wearing braids, weaves and wigs. This consumer generally chooses this route as a result of their daily hair care routines.  Their hair is harder to style on a day to day basis because it is tightly coiled and course.  I am very familiar with this woman's hair care challenges as a result of my back round as a stylist and product formulator. I belong to organizations such as The Society Of Cosmetic Chemists, Cosmetic Executive Women and The Professional Beauty Association. As a result of spending so much of my time doing consumer events and creating new products for our company, I have developed a large consumer following.  I am ready to launch this new brand, however, purchasing ingredients for formulas that I have completed, social media support and manufacturing requires start up capital. That is what the funding will be used for. I am excited to launch and support this consumer in their challenges.
