What: proactive strategic tool & process  to ensure inclusion and equity for all children, that transcends diversity and achieves safety by addressing  direct and indirect  bias against children who are not the norm, especially girls.

Why: we live in a  society that  normalizes, violence, discrimination and low intelligence. This directly and indirectly impacts ALL children and compromise their ability to thrive resulting in children who do  the bare minimum to get by. Currently 100% of girls grade 5 and up have faced sexual / online harassment in the US. (Informal & formal Survey of 2000 girls)

How: Dignity Index (Di) is a nine step process that is focused on building (beloved) community within the school  with a leadership made up of Students, teachers, administrators & parents to solve it’s own problems with an eye towards transformation vs enforcement. This is a proven sustainable model that has been implemented in San Francisco within a school (2013) & San Francisco City government departments (1998). The 9 step process results in the development of setting standards, operational plan & implementation strategy, leadership team to monitor and evaluate progress with indicators. The transformation is evident  in the classroom.  Di is packaged with methodology, templates & practice guide with  training & technical assistance. Package costs is $36,000.
