Trying to keep a struggling family farm going that has been in the family for over a hundred years. This is the only life I know having grown up on this very land. Seven years ago I lost all the ground I had been farming do to the death of my landlord and his family selling the land at auction to which I could in no way compete against the mega farms who are well established and have investors to back them up. I have tried to stay free of investors , but my current situation leaves me no choice but to reach out. You see I am maxed out on credit and some landlords have offered me the land when the lease expires this fall and loosing that land will be the final blow to a already struggling farmer because 90 percent of the feed the cattle eat comes from that land. Thereby it would force a liquidation of a cow herd it’s taken a lifetime to build. I’ve not asked for much in this life but, I would like to be able to preserve the family homestead.
