 DEW HVAC Training Services Center (DEW HVAC TSC) expects rapid expansion in the trade school/education industry. DEW HVAC TSC solicits financial backing to be able to introduce its new service.  Our mission is to provide affordable EPA-certified HVAC training for individuals, serving as a workforce pipeline for HVAC businesses and the community by producing highly skilled technicians, thus meeting the demand for well-trained HVAC professionals in the field. 

DEW HVAC Training Services Center is prepared to introduce the following services to the market: 
 
1.      HVAC Certification Program: DEW HVAC Training Services Center provides HVAC certification through educational training, hands on, real life and a real time experience through field experience, lab hours, and IVR training, and knowledge to individuals who are interested in learning the field of HVAC. We train enrollees to be prepared for work immediately after certification. This allows our enrollees to start as a technician (with experience) at a technician rate of pay with experience. This program is 18 weeks, offers 65% hands-on training, 20% online theory learning, and 15% field experience. 

2.      GED Preparatory Program: Provides the community an affordable opportunity to receive educational prep for GED testing, including testing. 

3.      Watch care Services: This service provides childcare services for all enrollees in any program with DEW HVAC Training Services Center only while applicants are on campus for class. 
 
4.      We will eventually become a testing center open to the community, for all customers, and individuals who need to become certified through testing in the field of HVAC (i.e., EPA and NATE testing) even if they did not enroll with DEW HVAC Training Services Center.

Funding Request

 DEW TSC is requesting 500K to be used for start-up expenses and rennovations.   The funds will be used to purchase computers, educational materials, software, HVAC materials, office supplies, staffing including benefits and payroll, marketing, rent, utilities, rennovations and other materials needed for the business.  

 

Business Goals and Objectives

 Year 1 Goal (2024) 
●       To generate $1,140,000 in revenue, by providing HVAC certifications to at least 30 individuals during Jan 2024 - May 2024, 30 individuals during Summer 2024 and at least 60 individuals during August 2024 - December 2024. 
●       To generate $10,000 in revenue, by providing GED Prep services to at least 4 individuals during Jan 2024 - May 2024, 2 individuals during summer of 2024, and at least 4 individuals during August 2024 - December 2024. 
●       To generate $82,500 in revenue, by providing NATE Certification Prep and testing to at least 15 individuals during Jan 2024 – May 2024, 15 individuals during summer of 2024, and at least 25 individuals during August 2024 – December 2024. 
●       To generate $4,680 in revenue, by providing watch care services for 3 GED participants’ children during Jan 2024 – May 2024, 3 during Summer 2024, and at least 3 individuals during August 2024 – December 2024. 
●       To generate $9,720, by providing watch care services for 3 HVAC Certification participants’ children during Jan 2024 – May 2024, 3 during Summer 2024, and at least 3 individuals during August 2024 – December 2024. 
●       To generate $14,400, by providing watch care services for 3 HVAC Certification and GED (coupled) participants’ children during Jan 2024 – May 2024, 3 during Summer 2024, and at least 3 individuals during August 2024 – December 2024. 
●       To achieve state accreditation to be a part of SC Workforce, DDOL, and SC DEW which will provide unemployed individuals an opportunity to learn a new career paid by the state. 

Year 2 Goal (2025) 
●       To generate $1,805,000 in revenue, by providing HVAC certifications to at least 60 individuals during Jan 2025 - May 2025, 30 individuals during Summer 2025 and at least 100 individuals during August 2025 - December 2025. 
●       To generate $20,000 in revenue, by providing GED Prep services to at least 8 individuals during Jan 2024 - May 2024, 4 individuals during summer of 2024, and at least 8 individuals during August 2024 - December 2024. 
●       To generate $157,500 in revenue, by providing NATE Certification Prep and testing to at least 45 individuals during Jan 2024 – May 2024, 15 individuals during summer of 2024, and at least 45 individuals during August 2024 – December 2024. 
●       To generate $10,920 in revenue, by providing watch care services for 7 GED participants’ children during Jan 2024 – May 2024, 7 during Summer 2024, and at least 7 individuals during August 2024 – December 2024. 
●       To generate $22,680, by providing watch care services for 7 HVAC Certification participants’ children during Jan 2024 – May 2024, 7 during Summer 2024, and at least 7 individuals during August 2024 – December 2024.
●       To generate $33,600, by providing watch care services for 7 HVAC Certification and GED (coupled) participants’ children during Jan 2024 – May 2024, 7 during Summer 2024, and at least 7 individuals during August 2024 – December 2024.  

Year 3 Goal (2026) 
●       To generate $2,850,000 in revenue, by providing HVAC certifications to at least 120 individuals during Jan 2025 - May 2025, 60 individuals during Summer 2025 and at least 120 individuals during August 2025 - December 2025. 
●       To generate $26,000 in revenue, by providing GED Prep services to at least 10 individuals during Jan 2024 - May 2024, 6 individuals during summer of 2024, and at least 10 individuals during August 2024 - December 2024. 
●       To generate $225,000 in revenue, by providing NATE Certification Prep and testing to at least 60 individuals during Jan 2024 – May 2024, 30 individuals during summer of 2024, and at least 60 individuals during August 2024 – December 2024. 
●       To generate $10,920 in revenue, by providing watch care services for 7 GED participants’ children during Jan 2024 – May 2024, 7 during Summer 2024, and at least 7 individuals during August 2024 – December 2024.

Pricing Strategy

 The Company has completed a thorough analysis of its competitors' pricing. Keeping in mind our competition's pricing and the costs of customer acquisition, we have decided on the following pricing strategy:  
HVAC Certification Training Program: 
●       Total cost: $9500 per person. 
●       An educational financing program offered to help students with affordability of tuition. 
GED Program: 
●       Service fee: $1000 per person, includes all four tests. 
Additional Services: 
●       NATE certification is available for an additional fee of $1500. 
●       Watch care service is available for an additional fee of $5/day, based on the program(s) selected by the enrollee.  

Promotional Strategy

 The Company will promote sales using the following methods:
●       Business-to-Business (B2B) Partnerships: DEW HVAC TSC will establish partnerships with local businesses, construction companies, and HVAC contractors to promote the training programs to their employees or potential candidates.
