Alma, WI Cabin Village Resort - The Buffalo Resort

My name is Paul Eppen, and I am developing a 40-cabin resort that will wrap around an existing restaurant, creating a one-of-a-kind, high-end dining and lodging experience in Alma, WI. I am also the owner of a small construction company, which allows me to significantly reduce construction costs.

As the owner of a Vineyard and Wedding Venue in Alma, I can speak to the incredible need for additional lodging. We see thousands of guests per week at our winery during peak season. Since building our new wedding venue in 2024, we are on track to host over 16,000 guests per year in 2027 and beyond—most of whom will have to stay out of town. In addition, five more local wedding venues also send their guests to hotels further away than our development location. Alma is a hidden gem that won’t be hidden forever. This project will be the first to bring much-needed lodging to the area.

Our goal is to acquire the property in the next 60 days and break ground late this spring, allowing us to open for the 2026 season.
