La Cucina della Nonna will be a full service casual fine dining Italian restaurant. We will have a full bar, extensive wine list and authentic Italian dishes. The building has two distinct spaces, one that is a large dining area with windows that look into the kitchen. Our patrons can watch the chefs make fresh pasta and chops fresh vegetables while they sip wine. The second smaller area will be an Italian style "bar" with coffee and pastries in the morning and wine and appetizers in the evening. There is also a large outdoor patio area where we will have live music on the weekends, community events and Sunday Sip and Cinema (movies and wine/appetizers). We will have Sunday brunch with live music, as well as being able to host events such as receptions, rehearsal dinners, corporate parties, etc. We have an extremely sought after location for our restaurant that is in a very highly trafficked area for both retail and food services. We will be the only Italian restaurant in the downtown area. The downtown development office performed a recent study showing $2,000,000 in revenue leaking out of downtown due to the lack of a full service restaurant in the area of our proposed location. There are two separate new residential neighborhoods being built in a 3 mile radius with 500+ homes. The downtown area has actually gotten involved in trying to make sure we are the business that gets to rent this building as they feel that our business plan and proposal makes the most sense at this time for downtown Pittsboro. They like our ideas for community involvement and activities. Our patio space is an integral part of the downtown hub and we could help to grow Pittsboro's downtown business growth.
