Hi, I'm Dr. Lisa Dunne, and after 25 years as a college professor, I founded a Socratic university to address the dysfunction of modern traditional education.  CVCU's three pillars are debt-free, faith-based, mentor-driven higher education. America's college students are the most anxious, depressed, atheist generation in the history of our nation. They feel disconnected, purposeless, often more attached to their phones than to human relationships. The Socratic model of education creates engagement and connectivity. Our K to 12 model, the Academic Rescue Mission (ARM), creates community partnerships to provide affordable, parent-driven education solutions for elementary school to high school. As I have written in my latest book, Outsourced: Why America's Kids Need an Education Revolution, America's educational infrastructure must be radically redesigned for the sake of the mental, physical, and spiritual health of the next generation. CVCU's ARM has launched 34 of these academies across the US, and we are empowering parents to take an active role in transforming education through local, self-governing communities.
