Cultivar Sausalito Farm Table
690 Bridgeway, Sausalito, CA 94965
Investor Overview
The Opportunity – Location, Location, Location!
Sausalito is one of the Bay Area's most visited destinations — a waterfront town that draws tourists arriving by ferry, affluent Marin locals, and day-trippers from San Francisco year-round. Yet there is no farm-to-table restaurant of real quality anchoring the waterfront.
Located at 690 Bridgeway, on the corner of Bridgeway and El Portal, steps from the ferry landing, Cultivar Sausalito sits at one of the most visible and high-traffic restaurant locations in Marin County.
Why We Win: A Structural Advantage
Caspar Estate, our Estate farm property in the Napa Valley gives us a supply chain no competitor can match. We grow our ingredients or source them within an hour of the kitchen — no storage shelf, no preservatives, no middleman. Because we skip the farm-to-store-to-kitchen chain entirely, we get fresher food, better flavor, and meaningful cost advantages that go straight to margin.
This is not just a marketing edge. It's a structural moat, woven into every plate we serve — and it's not something a restaurant can buy or copy without owning its own farm.
Beyond sourcing, we something competitors don't have: our own culinary garden, a proven concept, an thriving wine club driving repeat business, an experienced private events operation, and a loyal customer base ready to follow us across the bay.
Growing into our 3rd Restaurant Location — Cultivar Sausalito
It's our most developed restaurant space, fully built out and operating since February 2026, with large street-facing windows on two sides, 130 seats of indoor and patio dining, a live music balcony, a massive wine display, and an inviting brass bar. The dining room features booth seating accented with black walnut trim milled in Northern California.
The menu is upscale, anchored by our Farmers Market Menu drawn straight from our Culinary Garden — estate-grown produce, herbs picked that week, local seafood, our wines, and garden-to-glass fresh bar cocktails. For what we don't grow, we source from our farmer partners.
The two-level kitchen is fully equipped and anchored by an Italian pizza oven, with built-in redundancy — dual refrigeration systems, two separate cook lines, and multiple restrooms — so Cultivar Sausalito can handle all the volume Sausalito can bring.
Who We Are / Our Track Record
Cultivar is not a startup. We are a vertically integrated food, wine, and hospitality company with nearly a decade of operating history in the Bay Area, built around three connected businesses:
Cultivar Wines — Beginning in 2006, our food-friendly wines feature small-lot, climate and terroir-driven grapes sourced from across California's diverse wine regions, each bottle expressing the character of the individual climate and soil where the grapes were grown. Cultivar Wine is nationally distributed in 25 states.
Caspar Estate — Our working organic farm and winery in the Napa Valley, the source of our wine grapes, produce, olive oil, wildflower honey, and herbs.
Cultivar San Francisco – Restaurant Location 1 — Opened in 2017, we brought Napa to San Francisco with our farm-to-table restaurant, a neighborhood gathering place known for our wines and a regularly changing, seasonal menu featuring the fruits and vegetables grown at Caspar Estate. Today it runs a full dining program alongside a vibrant private events business — team-building events, bridal and baby showers, birthday and graduation dinners — and hosts a growing Wine Club that drives consistent repeat visits and direct wine sales.
Cultivar Ghirardelli – Wine Tasting Location 2 — Opened in 2024 in historic Ghirardelli Square, a lively tasting room built around a bites-and-flights menu with Cultivar and Caspar Estate wines. This location reaches the large tourist market visiting San Francisco and hosts private events on its brick patio — a different revenue mix from SF, proving our model works across formats and audiences.
