Comprehensive Medical Center

I have a Healthcare Business. I provide Healthcare for many clients in the inner city (Irvington, NJ). I manage Hypertension, Diabetes, Asthma, COPD, Osteoarthritis, Obesity and many other medical conditions.  I do a lot of work with Boarding Homes/Group Homes in the inner city as well, providing the same services for these clients.  I am an African American Female,  Adult Nurse Practitioner, Board Certified. I have been in this field for 25 years. I have been a Registered Nurse for 33 years. I am seeking $525,000 to fund the building that I am renting from. I am looking for grants and a  loan to help with this cost. I care for a large percentage of African Americans in this community. In the Boarding Homes there are many cultures that I care for, majority are African Americans. I provide healthcare services for 10 different Boarding Homes in Essex County. These are clients that are underserved and need proper healthcare. Some of these clients do not have healthcare and I care for them for free until they receive health insurance and this takes time. Also with my regular clients I care for some for free as well, ex: if a client comes from another country and do not have insurance. Also some people that is on a plan that I am not on, therefore I will not get reimbursed, until the insurance is charged and this process does take time.  

I always strive to provide high quality healthcare to my clients and future clients. The goal for this funding will be used to purchase the building that I am renting. It would allow me to continue to care for the boarding homes and regular office clients. When these clients have issues with health insurance, I still can care for them. The community will greatly benefit from my healthcare services, because of the need for Nurse Practitioner independently owned and operated offices in this county. I was born and raised in Essex County (Newark, NJ), so I understand the community's need and issues. My staff that I have at present is from the Essex County also (Newark, NJ) and they still live in this county. They are  African American Women, which are strong leaders in their roles, Medical Assistant and Phlebotomist.

This funding will allow me the opportunity to hire more staff. As my business grow I will need more staff. Also, it will allow me to rent to another Healthcare Provider. This will help all of my clients, because most people do not want to leave one facility and go to another for services. By renting to another Healthcare Provider they will have the opportunity of growing their business and helping this community. This will also increase monthly income for my business, Comprehensive Medical Center.

 Access to healthcare is so important in the inner city, especially if the client has Medicaid. I have no problem caring for clients that have Medicaid. I am on the panel of many health insurances in New Jersey.  Health Insurance is so important, but there are many that do not have health insurance and they need Healthcare. I am there for them. My service truly helps this community with improving their health and staying healthy.
