Bringing back an old iconic American manufacturer/marketing brand to market, updated product line and tested in our retail store.

Currently we operate out of the original Collins plant in Medina, Texas, where we house the old historical archive, artwork, patterns, etc. We also have small local production of “updated” Collins handbag concept in development, while we outsource some other products that are made under our brands in Italy as well as in Mexico.

There is much information on our website as for the historical background of the company and on the internet in general that have contributed to our confidence in undertaking the task of bringing back this historical American brand into today’s fashionable handbag market, a multi-billion dollar industry.

The unique features, the history of the brand, and the brand loyalty level has been very strong, yet much updating and testing was a necessary prerequisite for true realization of the potential of the brand.

We have created our own retail stores at two different locations in order to interact with two different sets of demographics for this calibration. We were guided by a very extensive report that has been put together by University of Texas in San Antonio, Texas on the handbag industry and the impact of the technology on the industry at the present time and the future. Our sampling and the marketing of the products has been tested and well received at the mid and higher end of the market. Our price points range from $300 to $5000 in different categories and we know now that the greater potential for expansion of well-performing categories are there to grow into.

The new proposal is for development of a new center in Fredericksburg, Texas as a destination address to house Collins of Texas as the anchor and only a few other high-end compatible retailers. Collins historical artwork on display, small showcase of making handmade fashionable leather goods will play as a very strong draw to this center.

The retail market in Fredericksburg is strong and a shortage of desirable space has pushed up the rental rates to one of the highest rates per square foot in the country.
