Cardinal Drive Academy of Columbus LLC

I plan to open a new driving school in Columbus, Ohio. I have seven years of experience as a driving instructor, three years as a co-owner of a driving school, and three years as a training manager. We have doubled our revenue in Findlay and see significant demand for driving schools in Columbus. The primary location will be at Licking Heights High School, where 30 students are waiting for the 24-hour classroom course, 22 for the online course, and 12 for behind-the-wheel-only instruction. In Ohio, individuals aged 16 to 21 must complete driver's education to obtain a license. This includes a 24-hour online or classroom course, followed by 8 hours of driving with a certified instructor. After completing these requirements and 50 hours of supervised driving with a parent or guardian, students become eligible for their driver's license.
Our pricing is as follows: 8 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction is $475; the 24-hour classroom course plus 8 hours of driving is $500; the 24-hour online course plus 8 hours of driving is $550. Private driving sessions are $100 per hour, and use of our vehicle for the driver's test is $150.

3-Month Plan
My initial goal is to successfully launch and establish the Licking Heights location.
Projected monthly enrollment goals:
15 students per in-person classroom session (one class per month)
10–15 students enrolled in the online course each month
10–15 Behind-the-Wheel (BTW) only students per month

During this time, I will also focus on recruiting and training additional driving instructors so they are prepared for future expansion.

My long-term vision is to create a professional, student-focused driving academy that emphasizes safety, confidence, and defensive driving skills for today’s young drivers.
