Callie’s Sweets delivers a whimsical, memorable experience through gourmet fudge, popcorn, caramel, and other treats, providing our customers access to the sweetest adventure on Lake Superior. According to the National Confectionery Association, confectionery sales hit $37.5B in 2019, $1.6B of that coming from online sales. In 2019, online sales of chocolate and non-chocolate candy grew 15.5% and 36.5% respectively. Additionally, by 2024 the confectionery market as a whole is expected to grow by 6.4% to $39.9B. Callie’s Sweets will monetize our fudge, popcorn, caramel, and other products within this market through both retail at our beautiful model train-themed location on the North Shore called Burlington Station, and also through e-commerce. We will stay within the industry standards of high gross margins (above 50%) on our amazing products. So far, this business is in motion and is gaining great traction. Construction has begun on our facility, our first line of products has been determined, our branding is complete, and our e-commerce has launched, bringing in nearly $1,000.00 to date.
