Butterfly Imprints is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization that is dedicated to recreating life for students by increasing their exposure to careers and opportunities to provide greater outcomes through ENDURANCE, CHANGE, & HOPE. We provide educational support services to children in grades K-12 the learning facility is a student-centered community engagement center. Our team of licensed professionals and paraprofessionals provide academic support, behavioral services, social and emotional services , and mental health services to students based on their individual needs to provide effective outcomes for each child that may struggle in an academic setting. We understand that various factors play a role in the way a child learns and many of those factors can cause barriers enabling a child to be successful in school.

Our programs include:
  • An After-School Program for students in grades K -8 that focuses on assisting students with improving present learning gaps and  developing healthy habits to be successful academically, and more!
  • A College and Career Readiness for students in grades 9-12 that focuses assisting students with academic struggles, increasing students exposure to colleges and careers, and developing skill sets for aspiring entrepreneurs.
  • A Summer Camp that is academic focused to increase students exposure to STEM.
  • An innovative alternative suspension Program that provides a safe and effective location for students that are assigned out of school suspension, students have access to licensed educator and behavioral professionals to assist with getting to the root of any present struggles.
Recent surveys show 80% of public schools reported behavioral and socioemotional development issues in students due to the pandemic, a 56% increase in student misconduct, 70% of public schools found the percentage of students who have sought mental health services increased and that 34% of public school students seeking out mental health services more than others were “economically disadvantaged students.”  We at Butterfly Imprints have become a liaisons between school and home providing students an alternative safe setting receiving top quality services to low income, at risk students. We are a innovative community behavioral health center as we are established Medicaid providers allowing provide affordable services to families in need.

From November 2021-November 2022 we piloted our innovative afterschool program for children in grades K-8 which allowed families in the community to enroll their child into a Mon-Thu 2 hour program at a base fee. Students received a snack/meal, given reflection time, and basic homework support daily 1:1 or in small group with a licensed educator. Based on parent concerns and school data educators made recommended service referrals, and identified individual needs. Reaching a total of 65 students with little marketing and family and community recommendations our students showed exponential growth in academics and improvement in student conduct by May 2022. We project our enrollment numbers to show rapid increase as families learn of our services and now with our contract with Partners Behavioral Health we can now receive reimbursement for services. Our Team includes:

  • Experienced Licensed Educators
  • A Licensed Clinical Social Worker
  • Social Worker (BSW) case management
  • A Youth Development Specialist with a BS in Public Health
  • We actively have contracts with other established organizations for mental and behavioral services.  We also plan to implement a Certified Behavioral Analysis position .

Our goal in the next 3-5 years is to become a statewide organization that assist families and our community with combating struggles children are facing by being positive and proactive ways to reduce the likelihood of school drop outs and fatally. A successful team consist of contracting An educator, Social Worker, Behavioral Analysis, Psychologist, and Community Health Worker all of which has revenue codes to bill for services. We plan to implement a state meal program to reduce food cost in order to continue to provide snacks and meals to ensure students are receiving adequate nutrition while in our car. We also plan to apply for grants to support activities and academic to increase program opportunities such as technology.  We plan to implement transportation to ensure students can participate in our after school program and to ensure we have transportation to college and career tours

Our unique organization is a one stop shop to support the present day child started by a Licensed and Experienced Educator and mom who show a need in the community. Our children have little affordable options and limited positive incentives which does not mean they should not get the support they need to be successful in life and we would like the chance to give them that option.
