BŌTI

Raising 2M to develop and efficiently market a boating connection app.

BŌTI is an Experience Connection app that matches people for safe boating experiences. By implementing the familiar swiping style of dating apps, we have created a user friendly, streamlined app designed for connection.  The app directs the user to create a profile where they say whether or not they have a boat or access to a boat (boat club, etc).  They then select their interests: Boat Party, Boat Cruises, Meeting Other Couples, Fishing, Boat Charters, Boat Rentals.  The user is then presented all the users that have selected one or more of the interests they have in common for selection.  The user then swipes left (decline) or right (like) to invite someone on a boat or to invite themself onto a boat.  If you select that you have access to a boat, you will be shown people that do not have a boat and vice versa.  There are filters that you can use to tailor your search by age range, gender and interest(s).  Once you swipe right to invite someone they have to swipe and like your card to create a match.  Both parties are then notified of the match and then directed to the chat to finalize the details of the connection.  We have terms and conditions in place to protect the company.  We are a connection app and we have been advised by legal that liability is lessened by removing our role in the interaction as soon as possible.  We have multiple pay walls that are being prepared for release but we are focusing primarily on app downloads and user experience before introducing the first paywall and/or paid feature.  We have a go to market strategy that lists out locations for release.  We recently launched the app on 3/23/2024 on the App Store and hosted a launch party on Charleston, SC where 360 people created profiles and a total of 540 people downloaded the app.  I have a team that is ready to move forward upon funding approval.
