Brew Bank came from ideas scribbled on a napkin to winning Top Tank (a local "Shark Tank" style competition) to help fund the best new business idea, to changing the law that allowed us to  open as the fist self serve craft beer bar in the state of Kansas.    One of the stipulations when we won Top Tank was that we had to open Brew Bank in downtown Topeka. The revitalization of downtown has not been what we had been told it would be.  We opened in September of 2019. Then Covid happened. We all know the impact of Covid was absolutely catastrophic worldwide.  We have continued to struggle after Covid. Many of the promises made to us about downtown was the addition  of multiple retail shops, other bars and restaurants and tons of events to draw people to downtown.   Due to the lasting impact of Covid very little has been done to make good on those initial promises. The impact has been devastating for us.

We are very proud of what we have been able to accomplish even with the struggles we face on a daily basis. Our concept is like none other within 100 miles. We are a very technically advanced restaurant. All of our self pour screens are 100% digital and automated with some of the most advanced tech available on the market from Pour My Beer. We have 26 beers & 4 wines on tap. All of our food is served on slate, making each item on our menu "instagramable" because it looks so visually incredible. We have a menu of charcuterie boards, flatbread pizzas, wraps, sandwiches & salads. We are constantly trying to offer new menu items to bring in more guests. We also offer catering and have catered events as small as 8 people up to 150. . We have a unique restaurant, our guests are constantly heard talking about how it feels like they are in NY or LA  and how Brew Bank doesn't feel like it is in Kansas.  We pride ourselves on thinking outside of the box with our marketing & events we plan. We have offered Mixology classes - guests buy a ticket & learn how to make 4 different cocktails that are usually themed. They also receive a charcuterie board that goes with the theme. We were founded by craft beer enthusiasts & we want to continue to introduce Topeka to new & different beers - that's what is so great about the self-serve aspect. You pay by the ounce, so you can try a little of a beer to see if you like it without having to buy a whole pint! We pride ourselves on having a wide variety of beers on tap - from seltzers, to stouts, to IPAs - our guests can usually find something that they like (& would maybe never know that, if it wasn't for Brew Bank!).  We know that we would be much more successful & financially well-off if we weren't forced to open in downtown.

If we can find the financing, we would hope to move to a better location so we can flourish! We are very proud of our reputation and of our business model. We believe that taking care of our staff financially, focusing on our culture and making sure that it is always open and healthy has benefited us ten-fold. We have very little turn over, which is extremely rare for a restaurant and we have had incredible success with our staff buying in and that commitment and love e is felt by everyone who enters Brew Bank. We are a family and our guests say they feel like they are at home when in our space. We have worked so hard to create the most memorable, rewarding and unique guest experience possible. This funding would help us continue to live by our motto, "Powered By Community!"
