Blitz:Draft is a fantasy sports mobile app with a unique twist. When drafting, users will be presented with one player at a time and must make a critical decision; swipe right or swipe left. Swipe right and you draft that player to your team. Swipe left and you skip that player for good. But choose wisely! You don't know which player will show up next. The final twist? Users have 2 minutes to draft their whole team! The end result is an experience unlike any fantasy sports game on the market. It's more convenient because it takes less time to draft. It's more exciting because of the addition of gamification, and lastly, it eliminates the huge problem of enthusiasm drop off that plagues traditional fantasy sports. When you join a season long Blitz:Draft league with your friends, you will be drafting a new team every day or every week! Gone are the days of injury riddle teams, or half the league no longer participating after week 2. It's more drafting and less crying.
We have made huge progress since incorporating the company in June 2024. We built an iOS alpha which we tested with invite only friends and family and got critical feedback. We are very close to launching the app on the app store for daily MLB contests, with NFL and NBA contests to follow in Sept 2025.
Blitz:Draft will collect user entry fees for contests, and keep a 10% rake while adding 90% of the entry fee to the player prize pool. There will be no against the house contests and Blitz:Draft will meet the fantasy sports federal gambling exemption. We plan on launching free to play contests in 49 states, and real money contests in the 19 states that don't currently regulate fantasy sports contests which include CA, and IL. Registration in regulated states like NY and NJ will follow as quickly as possible after launch.
