Black Force Protective Services

Raising $500K for my start-up security firm looking to fill a very lucrative niche.

It's 2020 and no matter where you go, security is a part of all of our lives, even at home. Security cameras, home security systems, anti-theft devices and alarms on cars, the traditional security guard, no matter where you go, security is always around us. Technology is also prevalent in our lives and we rely on our technology in almost everything we do. As the future progresses, so won't security and technology.

The company I'm starting, Black Force Protective Services, is a company that will be like your traditional security guard company...with a twist. The main thing about companies or business in general, is the green. Profits. Companies, especially security companies, put the green before their employees. In 2012, I got my first real full-time job as a security officer in Boston, MA. I got paid $13/hr, yet the company charged their client, whose site I worked at, more than three times more than what I got paid an hour. That was thirty two dollars profit, times the forty hours I worked, that's $1,280.00 a week, and that was only for me. A nineteen year old kid who never worked a real job in his life. The company I worked for, but won't name here, is a global security company, and one that I know I can compete against...eventually.

But not right now. Right now, I'm a nobody, not even on anyone's radar yet, nor on the market. I'm mostly in the planning stage and in this stage, I also know most of what I need to really become a competitor in the security world. I'm planning on being local and spreading my wings from here, from Boston, MA. I want to start here, get clients under my belt, and let the word of mouth take my company to new heights. And not just from my hypothetical, at this point, clients, but also my employees who won't have to work two jobs anymore just to put a roof over their head, food on the table and clothes on their backs.

I'm not planning on doing what these other security companies do, at least not the major ones. I plan on putting both my clients and employees first, because without one, you can't have the other. No doubt these big name security companies put their clients first, because that's how they make their money, but they barely pay their employees enough to support them. I know, I was one of them. And even now, I'm a police supervisor and I barely make enough to support myself and a lot of my coworkers work two jobs just to pay the insane amount of rent we have here in Boston. A lot of them work second jobs as security guards too.

I want to attract new employees by offering them more money than they no doubt get paid now, I also want to offer them the benefits they deserve. I plan on charging companies more, to make up for this and I want my company to be seen as a premium in the security field. I'm not gonna hire joe schmo off the street. I want high quality security officers and you can't attract that kind of quality officer without the incentive of higher pay and benefits, especially in the current times with police officers falling under attack from every direction. Police officers are retiring and quitting all over the nation and stores all over are being vandalized, looted and some even burned down to the ground. If you ask me, the market is ripe for the taking.

And you're probably shaking your head at my naivete for thinking companies would actually pay more when they're satisfied enough with the security they got. But you're wrong. Most people prefer quality, the higher the quality, the better. I know I do. And the companies I want to go after are the types that would and could pay the extra for the better service, instead of the one where their security guards are half asleep because they work sixteen hour days or just don't really care, because they don't paid enough to care. Why would they care when they're worried about their family, and paying the bills and rent. But if they get paid enough to only have to work the one job and not kill themselves in OT or working a second job, they'll be more alert and maybe just care about their job.

I'm not planning on being just a guard company though, I'm also a tech guy and want to work on creating a cyber security branch of the company, and even doing our own camera systems and installations. I want to be an all-around security firm. I have a lot that I have written down and am planning and will share such info with any interested parties. Thanks for reading the brief info I wrote above, and I'm looking forward to discussing more in length with you, if you're interested.

Thank you.
