My son and I formed Biosphere Restoration Inc. to spark a “green-consumer revolution” that turns the global economy into the most formidable champion of environmental salvation possible. A finished 85,000-word book manuscript explains how. The plan and the book emerged from 35-years of analyses and two irrefutable facts-of-life. One, there is something fundamentally wrong with an economic system that leaves consumers few options but to fill their needs and desires with products and services that destroy the human carrying capacity of the biosphere. And that is the economy society has lived in since the early 1900s. Two, consumers drive economies with their tens-of-trillions of dollars of annual purchasing power, not businesses. Businesses respond to consumer needs and desires, earning a profit for the responsiveness. In short, today’s ecologically destructive economy must be replaced as quickly as possible with a bona fide “green economy,” and consumers alone can make that happen. The future of tomorrow's children is the driving force behind our initiatives.
