- After 32 years as hotel General Manager, our founder launched Balconista Furniture to promote guest engagement and revenue growth for hotel operations; after just a few installations, we now realize how expansive the market for our products could become with timeshares, apartments, sporting venues, restaurants, bars, lounges and individual residences.

We have also participated at the Hospitality Design expo for 4 years, getting feedback and making the necessary adjustments. Our primary target has been the hospitality industry, ie hotels, timeshares, etc.; however, Covid had a great impact on this industry and therefore our sales were slow to launch. We are currently negotiating with the AC Hotel at Sawgrass, Sunrise, FL, The Lodge at Sea Island, GA, and Floridays, Orlando, FL. Additionally, with Covid we had to pivot and get into retail sales, and we are currently in Christy Sports in Utah and Colorado as well as 6 other retail stores, primarily in the South and on the East Coast.
We believe we have a refined product that can fit on approximately 8 million balconies in the US. We seek funding for sales and marketing efforts. The feedback from our customers has been wonderful but we need more breadth and depth to begin to penetrate the market.
As a rough estimate, a table for 2 with chairs runs around $1k, to the marketplace. Our profitability is approximately 35%. We look forward to talking with venture capitalists to see how we can both grow successfully in a win/win environment.
