Hello, my name is Jack. I have been an executive chef for the past 20 years. Since COVID started I have been working at a remote logging camp 1 hr south of Smithers BC.
The camp is on Babine Lake and is called Babine Camp. It has been here since 1976 and the current owner has been here for 11 years. Last year as she turned 65 and wants to retire she has given me first chance at buying the place. However, I need some assistance in doing so. A loan for 600,000$ is what I need to get started and am looking at the loan as a short term jump start.
The camp has a proven track record of making profit and that profit has increased as we add more bunks to accommodate more loggers and exploration teams. We have 144 rooms in total, each make 155$ a day 7 days a week 10 months of the year as per contract with Canfor. We also receive a per meter rate as lumber is processed on site.
This is the best, the site has been completely renovated. We have a dedicated staff that work well in providing clean accommodations, well made, balanced meals and extra care and attention paid to all who are on site.
