Hi, my name is Elizabeth Winton and I am the founder of Arkham Village LLC. I am a clinical mental health clinician who has dedicated my career to providing therapeutic services for those who struggle with addiction. My passion for placing a focus on this vulnerable population is fueled by witnessing my family members and friends suffer from their addiction, with a few losing their life.
Arkham is a start up company in the greater Nashville, TN area with a passion to aid in the treatment of adults 18-years-old and up who suffer from substance abuse. Arkham practices from the medical model and strives to be a different and unique, individualized multi-level facility to allow individuals the opportunity to enter into our detox, residential, PHP, outpatient, and sober living treatment environment. Arkham will offer 12-step and smart recovery approaches to meet the individualized care of each client. Arkham will provide all treatment levels in one community, providing a continuity of care, comprehensive support, coordinated services, enhanced communication, and convenience. Unlike the majority of treatment facilities, Arkham will be able to seamlessly offer transition between different levels of care, ensuring continuity in treatment plans without disruptions in services, providing a range of founded treatment options, allow better coordination and collaboration among healthcare providers, ensuring that clients receive integrated and holistic care.
With Arkham, clients will engage in a unique treatment experience encompassing a suburban style sober living, offering 20 single bedrooms up to 1,000 square feet each. Arkham will provide a luxury, comfortable, and affordable tiny home style suite to foster structure, routine, accountability, and peer support.
Arkham will also be home to cows, donkeys, chickens, and goats who will roam the property offering a distinctive therapeutic experience. Interacting with animals can reduce stress, anxiety, and depression, promoting emotional well-being. Clients will be provided with the responsibility of grooming, feeding, and providing a nurturing environment for the farm animals. Client’s will gain a sense of responsibility and purpose, which can be empowering for individuals undergoing treatment. Additionally, animals provide unconditional love and support, creating a nurturing environment that aids in healing and recovery. Overall, incorporating farm animals into treatment programs can enhance therapeutic outcomes and improve overall quality of life for participants. Do not fret, if individuals are allergic or timid of the farm animals, accommodations will be made to ensure the safety and comfort of our clients.
