The Product:The first product released under the Anatomical Architects brand is the patented CerviFit® Neck Strengthening device (U.S.Patent# 9,198,820). Designed to provide a portable, affordable and effective way to train what has been referred to by the medical community as the “human shock absorber”, the neck. The idea that a stronger neck can mitigate the risk of concussion went from a novel hypothesis to a scientific conclusion in October 2014. In a study entitled ,
"Neck Strength: A Protective Factor Reducing Risk For Concussion In High School Sports." This study consist of a population of 6,704 high school athletes in boys' and girls' soccer, basketball, and lacrosse from 51 high schools in 25 states during the 2010 and 2011 academic years. The study concluded, "For every one pound increase in neck strength, odds of concussion decreased by 5 %". 1
The CerviFIt is slated to undergo a 12 week study by one of the world's leading Neurosurgeons, member of the NFL's Head Neck and Spine Committee and concussion researchers which will publish their findings in one of the top peer reviewed medical journals upon completion.
Customers:
With early adapters such as 2015 Indianapolis 500 Champion, Ryan Hunter Reay , former Pro-bowl Miami Dolphin's wide receiver Chris Chambers and UFC Lightweight Champion Diego "Nightmare" Sanchez, we knew we had a product that crossed the traditional vertical sports markets. Just as Under Armour began with a shirt that was designed to wisp away sweat and grew into the behemoth that it is today, disruption can come in simple or complex forms. For Anatomical Architects, we are going to grow from this initial product into a company of numerous sports and performance based offerings.
The initial 1,000 unit run of version 1.0 has been sold out. During the past year that we have been selling the CerviFit, we have signed a non-exclusive agreement with Meyers DC a distributor focused on sports medicine, chiropractic and physical therapy rehabilitation. 2
Once we have secured our initial seed capital, we are prepared to move forward with other "big box" retailers such as Walmart, Dicks sporting goods and Target as well as an aggressive 1st Quarter marketing and advertising campaign to coincide with the Super Bowl.
