We are a Norwegian style bakery, focusing on homemade baked goods you might have had in your grandma's kitchen. We have loyal repeat customers as well as new customers who find us each day. We are currently located in a lower visibility location and would like to open at a higher traffic area to bring in more customers. In 2022 we had 9329 paying customers with an average spend of $13.13. Additionally we also had website sales as well as third party delivery platform sales through DoorDash, GrubHub and ChowNow. We are looking to move into a retail space at the Castle Rock Outlets in Colorado where they get an average of 4.5 million customers per year. We will keep our current location to bake out of as we have a commercial kitchen there and will transport the baked goods to the second location.
Ana’s Norwegian Bakeri was selected out of a pool applicants for a permanent location on 16th street mall in Denver. This has not been made public yet, but I am meeting with the wraparound vendors provided by Popup Denver, through the Downtown Denver Project, on Friday April 14th. This location will have its own kitchen and will be staffed separately from the two locations mentioned above.
We currently host a group of Norwegians that meet every third Saturday of the month to eat the type of baked goods they grew up with, as well as socialize with other Norwegian speakers. It is not a requirement to speak Norwegian in order to come, and we have several non-Norwegian speakers that come every month.
Some of our customers have donated Norwegian books to us that we are able to let others interested in reading them able to take with them free of charge. Sometimes they bring them back, other times they keep them.
Our goal is to expand into several cities and states to be able to provide quality baked goods that give you that "Granma's Kitchen" feel.
