Alabama CARE EMS, Inc. is a privately owned emergency medical services company dedicated to improving healthcare access throughout rural and underserved communities in Northeast Alabama. Our organization provides emergency medical transportation, interfacility transport services, and is developing Mobile Integrated Healthcare (MIH) and Community Paramedicine programs designed to bring healthcare closer to where people live.
Founded to address growing gaps in rural healthcare access, Alabama CARE EMS serves communities facing EMS workforce shortages, limited ambulance availability, extended transport times, and increasing challenges accessing specialized medical care. Our mission is to create a sustainable regional healthcare platform that strengthens emergency response capabilities while improving patient access to hospitals, specialists, and community-based healthcare resources.
Our business model combines 911 emergency medical services, interfacility transport (IFT), and future Mobile Integrated Healthcare initiatives into a single integrated system. Revenue generated through hospital, nursing facility, and healthcare transportation services supports the long-term sustainability of rural emergency response operations, allowing us to provide reliable coverage in areas where traditional EMS models often struggle to remain financially viable.
The company is currently operational and actively building partnerships with hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, municipalities, and neighboring EMS agencies throughout Northeast Alabama. We have identified substantial unmet demand for both emergency response and patient transportation services, positioning Alabama CARE EMS for significant regional growth.
In addition to our for-profit operations, we are developing a companion nonprofit organization focused on Community Paramedicine and Mobile Integrated Healthcare programs. This organization will pursue grants, foundation funding, and charitable partnerships to further expand healthcare access and preventative care services for disadvantaged and underserved populations.
