What im building is a 120v air generator. One tank fuels a regulated pneumatic motor with a duel pulley and spins two small generators. One is for tou to use, the other is an air compressor. The compressor, large enough to out run the regulated pneumatic motor, will leak in the line when full. Then it switches and repeats.
To start operation, use large batteries and a DC compressor to fill (prime) the tanks, then shut off. When you release the air, the cranking amps so to speak, of the air compressor wont be that harsh because the tanks ate already full. Refilling the first tank when it switches will be easier because the the compressor is already running and stays running instead of turning on and odd all the time.
The batteries operate the valves and plungers to switch the tanks back and forth, kind of like duel tanks on a vehicle. Imagine a propane tank set up the same way, tank regulator motor duel pulley and 2 small generators. It will work but that compressor is filling the other tank with air not propane. A car fuels and runs by itself but you need to get out to refill the tank. My fuel is touching my machine, air. A shorter run time but easy to get. It doesn't have to be mined refined, transported or recharged , use it over and over. You are operating a generator with a tank of gas, but your gas is compressed air (a glorified air compressor you could say).
Its great for military trucks, female trucks, construction, camping ect. The ability to switch from tank to tank is already built and works great. If you would be interested in helping to finish this project, please contact me
